3 Steps to Begin Making Money on eBay™ Fast – When You Don’t Know Where to Start

Sunday Feb 28, 2010

Do not sit in front of your computer any more, wasting time and daydreaming. Begin today to take the necessary steps needed to make money on eBay™.

I have discovered how awesome eBay™ really is!
It was not too long ago that I had no clue what eBay™ was about, and now look at me, an eBay™ enlightened Mom!

Would you like to get there too? It is not difficult and it is really a lot of fun.

eBay™ is the latest, and greatest money-making endeavor I have found. And believe me, I have searched high and low in all kinds of markets and businesses to find something that could work for me.

Nothing I found seemed to tickle my fancy until eBay™. There were always too many loopholes to stop me from pursuing any of the ideas I came across. Such problems I found were, for example: the costs which seemed to escalate, the amount of time that was required was more than I could give, the steps were way too complicated and the end result always seemed way too small.

No, not me boy, I wanted to invest only a small amount of money, I wanted to spend about 15 hours on this per week, and I needed it to be pretty simple, something that if I stopped at any moment, (you know the kids always distract me at the wrong times) I needed to be able to pick up where I left off and not end up completely confused. Does this sound like the same issues you have had?

Let eBay™ be your solution to the fastest and most simple way of making money! Let me share the ropes with you so you can begin right away.

Step 1 – Log on to eBay™ and start exploring!

Sounds too easy right? Well it is, as I promised. Just look up searches for things you are interested in and see for yourself how items are listed.

Make note as to how some auctions draw your eye to them, and others don’t. Look at the titles of the items, which ones would you be more drawn to and why. Under the “search” box, use different words to describe what it is you want to find and see what comes up.

Notice how many different categories there are and observe the specialty sites. Interesting now isn’t it!
If you are feeling a bit more comfortable the next thing you should do is buy something from eBay™.

Step 2 – Buy something from eBay™.

The reason you need to buy something is because to be a good seller you must understand what it is like to be a buyer. You do not have to spend a lot of money here, in fact you should not spend a lot, just get your feet a bit wet and try it out.

To find out the steps in buying from eBay™ check out my other articles. You will see that it is not difficult to set up a buyer’s account on eBay™, AND you get to choose an eBay™ user ID, a code word if you like that eBay™ users will know you by. Sounds exciting now doesn’t it! Who knew that part of the process to making money on eBay™ was shopping! Well I would say that is just too much fun.

Okay, now you have browsed around eBay™, you have familiarized yourself with auctions, and you have purchased something! That is great and you are now ready to make some money.

Step 3 – Sell something from your attic.

Don’t panic if you do not have an attic. Do you have a cupboard, a closet, a drawer, a child! No, just kidding, there is no need to sell your firstborn, at least not yet! But you do need to find something to sell, and it would be best if it was not your mother’s $5,000.00 wedding ring please!

You do not want to start with an expensive item, remember this is a first sale for you so make it easy for yourself. Also, keep in mind shipping costs and packaging needs, so size and weight is a factor here.
Once you have found your first item, or items, take some really good pictures of them and upload the photos on your computer. You are now ready to set up a seller’s account on eBay™. My other articles can guide you through this process.

If you have followed these steps, you can sit back now and watch the price of your item go up and up, until at last someone buys it!

You have taken the plunge. In essence you have begun your exciting career on eBay™. May this be the beginning of a very profitable journey for you.

Tips For Successful Email Marketing Campaign

Sunday Feb 28, 2010

With a never-ending flow of spam on the Internet people are careful with every new message they receive. Some people immediately delete suspicious emails without opening them, others use anti-spam filters that block any email they consider as spam. It’s great if you already have a list of subscribers, to which you are sending newsletters at a regular basis. People know who you are and most likely have your email address in their address books or whitelists, so your email is let through with no problems.

But what about the first email campaign? How can you maximize the chances of getting a decent response from your first mailing?

The first email campaign often gets a low response rate. In some degree this is due to the product or service you are offering, or the design of the website. But a great part of it is in the message itself.

Follow these simple rules and your email campaign should be successful right from the beginning:

1) Don’t send from a forged or non existing email address. Use your valid email in the email From field. People can reply to your message so be sure the replies arrive to a real person.

2) Know what you want to achieve by your email before you sit down and write it. Do you want more visitors to your website? More sales for your products? More signups to your newsletter? Whatever aim you have, keep it in mind while writing your email.

3) Spell it right. There’s nothing worse than receiving a marketing email with poor spelling and grammar. Read and re-read your message a few times to discover and correct possible mistakes and typos.

4) Don’t write too long. Split the text into paragraphs. Keep the paragraphs short and punchy – you have very little time to grab people’s attention. Use simple words, short phrases and paragraphs consisting of just 1-3 short sentences.

5) Don’t use all capital letters! The text in all capitals is difficult to read and looks like you are shouting. Occasional use of capital letters to emphasize a word is ok, but be aware that some spam filters delete email messages with words all in capitals.

6) Call to action. In first two sentences of your email tell people who you are, and what you want them to do. Then you can use the rest of the email to expand on your products and services.

7) Deadline. Set a deadline for your offer by using phrases such as “First 100 to apply” or “The Offer Expires on December 25, 2006″ – fear of missing out on something always generates a good click through.

8) Send a text version of your message together with the HTML part. Don’t neglect the text version. Make sure it is composed well. It can be useful for those recipients who can read only text emails due to security reasons or email client configuration. If you compose your newsletter in G-Lock EasyMail, the program automatically creates a text version of the message and sends it together with the HTML part. You can also preview the text part before sending the message out and adjust it as you need.

9) Provide a way to unsubscribe. People must have a quick way to remove themselves from your mailing list. It may be an unsubscribe link somewhere at the bottom of your email. Don’t forget to exclude from your list those recipients who unsubscribed.

10) Always send a test message to yourself or your coworkers. The message can display differently after it is received by an email client. Make sure that everything is in place: images are shown, links are working, and text is formatted as it must be. Is everything looks fine, you are ready to send out to the world.

Why An Extensive Banking Strategy Is Important For Your Small Business

Sunday Feb 28, 2010

You may be a small time entrepreneur just starting or a business or an executive with years of trading experience, either way you need to recognise the importance of efficient business banking. Your choice of account is a fundamental element in your business banking strategy and something that could seriously affect the progress of your business, be it large or small. Here are few advisory tips to help the small business owner to make the right banking choices and give your business the best chance of success.

If you are starting out as a limited company you will need to open a business account. While this may seem a chore, it is surprising how having a specialist business banking strategy can aid the clarity of your finances. On the other hand if you are operating as a sole trader you small business will not have to have its own account, you will be able to combine your personal and business finances. Finding a banking solution that accommodates both the needs of your small business and your personal life can be difficult, often, even as a sole trader it can be beneficial to have a dual banking strategy.

Another element of your business banking strategy should be the inclusion of a small business team in your account package. The advice that can be offered by these professionals can be invaluable and can help your business achieve success. While this type of banking solution may cost a little extra if you are not up to date with the latest financial developments, the effects can be catastrophic.

Of major importance for your small business is the banking charges that may be applicable to your account. Some of these fees will be fixed on a monthly basis while others may be based upon a pro rata system for each individual transaction that may be carried out. If your business is likely to perform many transactions it is advisable to take a monthly fixed charge option as it will probably work out cheaper.

Enormous News 2010 Another great new product by Tim Godfrey and Steve Clayton called Niche Blueprint 2.0 Review is coming out to help all of us marketers who are doing or want to do ecommerce storefronts. Let me ask you will you be there for the release, I already have my sport inline and I recommend that you do as well. Happy New Year 2010 everyone!

Finding out about which banking extras come with your banking agreement is also important. These extras may include credit cards, free statements or internet and phone banking, which can be a beneficial. Some of these extras will be free for an initial period, so be financially wise and take advantage of this period and take all your can, after all when starting in business, the more help you can get while your business is small will pay dividends in the long run.

After making a detailed comparison of the different banking solutions offered by banks it will be time to open an account. Depending upon what type of company you will be running there are various pieces of information and documentation you will need for the process. Some banks may even ask for a business plan before they allow you to open account, this is an insurance on their part to assess whether your business model and idea is viable.

If starting a limited company you will need a Certificate of Incorporation before your banking can begin. You will also need several forms of identification, for yourself, but also for any other signatories that may have access to the account. This list of signatories will also need to be produced so the bank knows exactly who will have access to the funds.

It is worth remembering that you are not tied to any bank or account for life, it is possible to change. If you do sufficient research however you should not have to change and your business should benefit from having an effective banking system behind it. By following this brief advice you should be able to find an account that fulfils your business’ needs and adds to the chances of success.

Ultra-fast Internet Connection From Hughesnet

Sunday Feb 28, 2010

If you have unique needs when it comes to accessing the Internet, chances are that HughesNet should be the Internet service provider of choice for you. That’s because nobody else provides you with as much flexibility when it comes to how and where you access the Internet. With data transfer rates of up to 1.5 megabytes per second, you’ll have no lack of bandwidth with which to transfer the large amounts of data required by modern multimedia applications like video, music, and digital photos.

What really makes HughesNet a one size fits all service for high speed Internet is the fact that it’s truly wireless in the broadest sense of the word. You don’t need cables, telephone lines, or even access to a wireless hot spot because HughesNet is based entirely on satellite technology.

Using satellite technology for Internet access provides the ultimate flexibility when it comes to where you can live and work. That’s simply because you only need three things in order to take advantage of a satellite Internet connection from HughesNet. First, you need an unobstructed view to the southern sky so that you can send and receive signals from satellites in orbit above the equator. Second, you need a computer. And third, you need a source of electricity to power the computer. Assuming that you have those three things, you can take advantage of the best high speed Internet service available whether you live in the middle of the city or out in the Alaskan bush. HughesNet will even supply the satellite dish, the special satellite modem, and a professional technician to install it all for you.

In addition to an ultra-fast Internet connection you can also add a number of other features to your HughesNet account that will make your experience of using the Internet more enjoyable and safer. For example, with any service plan you’ll receive five email accounts that come complete with Spam filtering and anti-virus features. You’ll also receive complementary tech support. For extra fees, you can also add web hosting, domain based email, a suite of sophisticated security software, and a Service Assurance plan. The security software provides a firewall that helps to keep hostile software from getting in, and if in the event that hostile software does get into your computer, the firewall will help to prevent it from sending any of your personal information out. The firewall also helps to make you invisible to hackers. The security software from HughesNet also includes programs that can scan your computer for various kinds of invasive software including viruses, spy-ware, and mal-ware. You’ll also be able to set up special filters that will keep you from being redirected to hostile websites and block access to pornography.

The fact that Internet access from HughesNet is a constant connection makes it great for home or business use in many ways. Unlike dial up, you’ll know as soon as you receive an email. You can also use the phone while surfing the Internet or downloading something. For those especially large downloads, you can even walk away from the computer with confidence that your connection won’t be terminated.

The other advantage of getting your Internet access via satellite with HughesNet, is that you’ll have the same great service and connection speed if you move. That’s part of the freedom of having an Internet service that’s truly independent of phone lines and cables. These features, and so much more make HughesNet the ideal high speed Internet service for everyone.

Free Internet Advertising – Unwritten Rules of Internet Forums

Sunday Feb 28, 2010

Copyright 2005 Elaine Currie

Free Internet advertising is sought after by most Internet
marketers and one readily available source of free Internet
advertising is the Internet forum. For Internet marketing
novices, I’ll briefly explain how free Internet advertising is
obtained from Internet forums.

Basically, Internet forums are message boards where members can
exchange information, obtain advice or just chat. There are
Internet forums to cater for every topic you would care to
imagine (and a few you would probably prefer not to dwell on).
The Internet marketer advertises his product simply by posting
messages on the forums. There are some Internet forums that
forbid the posting of advertisements but, on many of these
forums, it is still possible to obtain free Internet advertising
by use of a signature file. The signature file is a short piece
of text which can contain a link to a website and which can be
annexed to every posting a member makes on a forum message
board.

If you have never tried forums as a source of free Internet
advertising, you should bear in mind that there is an unwritten
code of etiquette which need to be observed. The following are
some of the unwritten rules which need to be followed if you
intend to use forums for free Internet Advertising for your
business.

Read the Forum Rules

You need to read the rules of any Internet forum before you try
to post a message there. I know this sounds obvious but it is
clear that many forum users don’t bother to read the rules,
despite the fact that the forum registration process inevitably
includes a requirement for the applicant to check a box
indicating that the forum rules have been read and will be
adhered to. Don’t just sign up with the idea of getting as much
free Internet advertising as possible from the forum. Many
forums prohibit the posting of affiliate urls anywhere apart
from in the members’ forum signature file. If you become a
member of one of these forums without reading the rules and
start posting your affiliate urls in messages, you will quickly
find yourself labelled a “spammer”. In case you didn’t know,
spammers are considered to be the lowest of the low on the
Internet. If there was a virtual prison for Internet crime,
Internet advertising spammers would have to be kept in solitary
confinement for their own protection.

Lurk Before You Leap

Internet forum etiquette demands that you spend a little time
“lurking” ie logging in at the forum and reading previous and
current threads before you even think of starting to use the
forum for free Internet advertising. Although lurking is not an
official rule of Internet forums, it is largely accepted as an
essential part of the unwritten code of behaviour. The practice
is very useful. Lurking will enable you to get the feel of how a
forum works, you will be able to ascertain the tone of the
messages, the type of subject matter which is welcomed and the
level of expertise of other forum members. You might even find
that a particular forum is not for you and this could save you
the embarrassment of posting an inappropriate message on the
forum.

Be Subtle

You know that you are visiting the forum merely for the free
Internet advertising for your website but it is better not to
make this obvious if you want other members to react well to
your advertising. Forums are rather like private clubs where
members strike up friendships and make business deals. If you
rush in waving your “FREE INTERNET ADVERTISING” placard you will
not become popular, other members will consider you to be an
abuser of their “club”. You will do much better if you quietly

introduce yourself and keep the free Internet advertising down
to a whisper in your signature file.

Remember Your Manners

How hard is it to say “thank you”? If you visit a forum and
receive valuable advice which helps you in some way, take a
moment to post a brief message of thanks to your advisor. If
someone helped you out of a spot in the bricks and mortar world
you would thank them. Remember that people who post on Internet
forums are real too and they are under no obligation to help
you. It is as easy to make a friend with a warm word as it is to
create an enemy with a harsh word and you never know when you
might meet these people again.

Help Whenever You Can

Help other people whenever you can. Even if you don’t have any
specialist knowledge, you will find occasions when you can pass
on good advice. If you received advice that took you to a
solution, post a message to say how the advice helped and what
steps you followed to sort things out, this will act as a
signpost for other people who might find themselves in similar
difficulties. Even though you joined the forum with the idea of
using it merely as a form of free Internet advertising, make
time to give something back. People will be more inclined to
take an interest in your advertising if you become known as a
helpful type. What goes around comes around and, in any event,
the reputation of being a problem-solver is a bit of free
Internet advertising in its own right.

Be Moderate

The majority of Internet forums have moderators to ensure that
members stick to the rules. The job of a forum moderator is to
keep the content of the forum appropriate. Remember, it is not
just a place where you can indulge in free Internet advertising,
so keep your messages within the forum rules. Any graffiti
posted by members will be cleaned up by the moderators so that
the forum environment is preserved for all members to enjoy. If
you wish to retain the respect of your fellow forum members,
make sure your posts never need to be cleaned up, be your own
moderator. As well as sticking to the forum rules on content,
you should also keep your messages moderate in tone. The
Chambers dictionary includes the following definitions of
“moderate”: kept within measure or bounds; not excessive or
extreme; temperate. If you avoid drama and pathos in your forum
posting and keep your messages moderate, you will not attract
“flamers” and you can quietly enjoy your free Internet
advertising.

Ration Your Reading

Internet forums can be addictive. There is a serious danger that
you might log in to a forum with the idea of posting a message
or two in order to get your daily ration of free Internet
advertising but, the next thing you know is that half an hour
has passed by while you have been engrossed in reading. There is
nothing inherently wrong with spending time reading posts made
by other forum members, it’s free entertainment and that’s fine.
The problem is that, if you are trying to run an Internet
marketing business and you lose yourself on forums for half an
hour every day, you will be wasting something like half a day
during the course of each week for the sake of posting a couple
of links back to your website. That is not an economical use of
your time. In fact, if you account for the value of your time,
you will find you are actually paying a high price for your free
Internet advertising on forums.

Affiliate Marketing -a Great Way to Make Cash Online

Sunday Feb 28, 2010

Affiliate marketing is one of the most promising ways to make cash online. Affiliate marketing is still new enough that it’s still anyone’s game. Affiliate Marketing is a spin-off of Internet marketing where the advertisement publisher gets remunerated for every purchaser or sale supplied by him. Affiliate marketing is supposed to be about long-term and mutual beneficial partnerships between advertisers and affiliates. Affiliate marketing is a process of promoting web businesses (merchants/advertisers) in which an affiliate (publisher) is remunerated for every visitor, subscriber, customer, and/or sale supplied through his/her efforts.

Affiliate Marketing has developed quickly since its inception. Affiliate sites are often categorized by merchants (advertisers) and affiliate networks. Affiliate networks that have already a number of advertisers usually also have a sizeable number of publishers. Affiliate program indexes are one way to find affiliate programs; another is large affiliate networks that provide the platform for dozens or even hundreds of advertisers. Affiliate marketing is bigger than ever, because the rewards can be greater for those who are willing to put the effort into endorsing affiliate products to their niches.

The dilemma with the word affiliate marketing is that it is often confused with network-marketing or multi-level marketing what it is certainly not. The ability to create a stream of income automatically is one that anyone can achieve with affiliate marketing; all it takes is time, a bit of hard work, and a lot of persistence. With the sheer amount of cash that can be made with affiliate marketing right now you are actually losing cash the longer that you delay. As the affiliate marketing programs offer and pay a regular commission more and more people are attracted to it. For more detail go to: www.success-affiliate-marketing.com. Since affiliate marketing is done entirely online you can work while you are at home, at the coffee shop, or anywhere that has web access.

The number of affiliate programs just a few years back was much smaller than it is today. The days when programs could create considerable income for the merchant even if they were poorly managed or not at all is over. Those uncontrolled programs were one of the reasons why some of the not so positive examples of affiliates were able to do what they did e.g. spamming, cookie cutting, trademark infringement, false advertising, typo squatting etc. With so may affiliate programs to choose from, you have the ability to market something that interests you. Another benefit of having so many options to choose from is that there is no limit of how many programs you join.

http://www.scroll-pops.com

Affiliate Marketing is easy and it really works if done properly. Affiliate marketing is typically being run by affiliate networks and these affiliate networks are composed of two functional bodies, the group of affiliates and the group of merchants. Affiliate marketing is a great situation for both the vendor and the affiliate. Affiliate Marketing is a great way to add to the income from your website. Affiliate marketing is one of the most lucrative businesses in the world, so perhaps it’s time you got started.

A História Da Internet

Sunday Feb 21, 2010
