* Have you ever tried building a successful small business on the Internet before, but failed to make it work?
* Would you like to discover a 5-step, sure-fire formula that is guaranteed to help you effectively market your business on the Web…?
* Would you like to know all of the FREE tools successful online small businesses use, that you can use too, to effectively grow your business?
If you found yourself answering YES to any of the questions asked above, then this will be the most important article you’ll ever read…
Today, practically every other brick-and-mortar business has an online presence. What with the Internet fast revolutionizing people’s lifestyles, it has come to a point where offline businesses that don’t have a presence on the Web, lose out on a large number of potential customers.
That’s why many offline small businesses are keen to establish a strong online identity as well. Unfortunately though, many end up shutting down in less than 12 months. And my guess is: you’ve had ‘a go at it’ yourself. How successful were you?
Well, this article will reveal a foolproof step-by-step formula you can easily use to get your small business up and running on the Web once more. Let’s dive right in, shall we?
Step # 1: Write Out A Business Plan
Even though most business owners write out a business plan when starting an offline venture, many of them forget to do it when it comes to Internet marketing. In fact, this is thought to be one of the foremost reasons for the failure of a small business on the Web.
FACT: To be able to fully tap into the lucrative potential of the Internet, you’ll need to have a specific blueprint.
Make absolutely sure you have a systematic approach in place, together with a detailed list of goals, and gear your business for success.
Step # 2: Find Your Niche And Position Your Business For Success!
‘To survive in the Internet jungle, it’s vital you stand out from the crowd!’
This is what an Internet marketing expert will tell you when you’re seeking to establish an online small business.
If you think about it for a moment, it makes perfect sense to set yourself as the best and most knowledgeable company folks can turn to, when seeking goods and services in your target market.
Finding your niche and then taking steps to dominate it, is guaranteed to propel your online small business to huge success.
But since this one article alone, is not sufficient to help you gain a good understanding of the vast amount of info Niche Marketing covers, here are some links to some outstanding websites that discuss this topic at length:
* www.entrepreneur.com/marketing/marketingcolumnistkimtgordon/article49608.html
* www.wilsonweb.com/misc/niche-marketing.htm
* www.authenticpromotion.com/niche-marketing/
Step # 3: Maintain A ‘Sticky’ Site
A ’sticky’ website is simply a site that attracts repeat visitors. A major share of the success of an online small business can be attributed to the type of website it portrays. If you maintain a website that provides valuable information to potential customers, drives sales, and offers specialized solutions to the problems faced by clients in your industry, then your business can’t go wrong!
And oh, there’s one more thing you might want to consider: Maintaining a free electronic newsletter, otherwise known as an e-zine. You see, there’s no better tool to build a solid relationship and gain the trust of a customer, than a valuable newsletter. A newsletter is considered by many internet marketing professionals as THE MOST POWERFUL tool for gaining customer trust and driving sales!
Every week or every month, you can send out an ezine, containing useful snippets of information. Remember to avoid pitching your products heavily though, as this may turn off a lot of subscribers. However, a couple links inserted in between paragraphs, is perfectly alright.
TIP: Here’s a great piece of Email Marketing software you can use: Infacta offers a free version of their award-winning email marketing software – GroupMail. (www.group-mail.com) It provides all that you’ll need to start building a unique and personalized relationship with your customers via email.
Step # 4: Stay abreast Of Technology
The secret to running a hugely successful online small business these days is using every last piece of technology to your best advantage, so you can pass on all of the benefits to your customers.
Many online small businesses ignore this obvious advice, and have paid the price for it. You see, in order to stay two steps ahead of the rest in an intensely competitive online world, you need to keep up with the most recent technologies and who uses them.
And with the Internet evolving at such a frantic pace, the latest piece of software on the market today, may well become obsolete tomorrow! (so you may be spending too much effort in obsolete technology that no-one uses anymore. Example? – Meta-tags!)
Granted, you can’t utilize all of the newest tools that keep popping up, because frankly, some of them are just way too expensive, especially for a small business.
However, you sure can harness the amazing power of these FREE marvels of technology!
Here’s a list to help you get started:
* Blogging: A blog is a great way to get your customers involved in your business and let them know of the latest services/events you plan on rolling out. Many top companies use Wordpress (www.wordpress.com), because they offer an excellent package of free blog creation and hosting services, and are highly recommended.
* RSS Marketing: ‘Nooked’ (www.nooked.com) has a free RSS Marketing service that you can try out. It’s a great tool to help you familiarize yourself with the exciting opportunities that RSS offers.
* Podcasting: Podcasting is the hottest trend amongst online small businesses today, so check this one out right now! ‘Audacity’ (audacity.sourceforge.net) will give you access to a free podcast creation and management application that’s sure to add a new dimension to your existing content.
* Desktop Publishing: Want a free alternative to Microsoft Office? Open Office (www.openoffice.org/)comes equipped with word processing, presentation, drawing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
* Press Releases: PRWeb (www.prweb.com/) is a massively popular free online Press Release distribution service that will help publicize your business announcements to the Internet Community.
* Website Analysis: If you want to analyze the amount of traffic your website generates, and gage the success of your online marketing efforts, then make sure you head over to Google’s free website statistics utility (www.google.com/analytics/)
Step # 5: Cut The Learning Curve – Hire An Internet Marketing Expert!
If you prefer not to handle all of the above on your own the next time you attempt to re-build your small business on the Web, why not hire an internet marketing expert?
Sure, hiring a specialist costs money, but if you want to jumpstart your Internet marketing, or if you just want to get on with business and leave the internet to the expert professionals, then this is definitely the way to go.
Do-It-Yourself can be a low cost way to start, but don’t forget that your Return on Investment is directly proportional to PERCEIVED value by the consumer (your potential customer) and not related to PRICE or COST.
Hmmm… sounds like a whole separate subject on marketing…
Well, there you have it! A 5-step plan designed to help your business succeed with Internet Marketing.

Internet marketing is exciting, challenging, and confusing. It can make or break your internet business career and yet many people who depend on internet marketing don’t have a full grasp of the essentials involved in internet marketing.
In fact, many internet entrepreneurs waste a great deal of time, energy, and momentum because they do not fully understand internet marketing. For more detail go to: www.mrx-interview.com reliability. Don’t let this lack of understanding undermine your income potential. In order for you to better understand internet marketing and its impact on your internet business you must know the answers to these three key questions:
Marketing is actually rather simple. Marketing is communication about an idea, product, service, or organization. Marketing therefore encompasses advertising, promotion and sales as well as the various techniques and forms of communication used to advertise, promote and sell. Marketing is broader than simple advertising or promotion in that it includes researching the market to learn what consumers want and then setting out to meet their needs with the appropriate product, price, and distribution method. Marketing includes market research, deciding on products and prices, advertising promoting distributing and selling.
Marketing also covers all the activities involved in moving products and services from the source to the end user including making customers aware of products and services,
for more detail go to:www.the-forum-list.com.attracting new customers to a product or service, keeping existing customers interested in a product or service, and building and maintaining a customer base for a product or service.
Internet marketing includes these same activities but also pulls in various internet tools including web sites, email, eZine, banner advertising, Blogging, RSS, text links, search engine optimization, affiliates, auto responders, and other ecommerce applications.
The range of expenses for internet marketing is huge. There are a number of promotional and marketing ventures that can cost you nothing or only pennies a day while other advertising efforts can cost you thousands a day.
It is important to consider your goals — both long-term and short-term — as well as how much each prospective customer is worth to you. This will help you determine a workable budget for your internet marketing campaign.
Many internet promotions are free, you can set up a web site and/or blog for $250 a year, and you can buy text links for $10 a month. You could easily spend $25-50 a day for advertising but there are many cheaper ad options available.
The best program is to start small and cheap and slowly build as you test and learn what is successful for your market and product. There is no perfect advertising solution that works wonders for everyone. Each marketer and each product has a different formula.
Internet marketing offers more benefits than many traditional marketing mediums. The very nature of web sites and blogs is that they continue working to promote and market your product long after your initial marketing effort is over. Similarly many advertising efforts, such as eZine, newsletters, banners, and text links also continue to increase in power over time.
www.perpetual-traffic-generator.com
www.social-marketing-secret.com
Email marketing can be a tremendous surge in contacts and sales and offers the ability to personalize your message as well as reach a targeted audience so your chance for sales goes up exponentially.
The other tremendous benefit of internet marketing is that it offers convenience and immediate satisfaction. Your potential customer sees your marketing message when it is convenient for them — and often when they are seeking information about your specific topic. Then you offer them the ability to act on that interest right then. They can locate your product and buy in the time it would take to watch a commercial on television or turn a page in the newspaper. That is the power of internet marketing.

Satellite Internet is a form of high-speed Internet service which utilizes telecommunications satellites in earth orbit to provide Internet access to consumers.
A satellite Internet connection is basically an arrangement in which the upstream (outgoing) and the downstream (incoming) data are sent from, and arrive at, a computer through a satellite. Each subscriber’s hardware includes a satellite dish antenna and a transceiver (Modem) that operates in the microwave portion of the radio spectrum. Your computer, through the satellite modem, broadcasts requests to a satellite dish antenna that sits on top of your home or business. The dish antenna then sends and receives signals from satellites that orbit some 22,300 miles above the equator. As long as your dish maintains a clear view of the southern sky (in the U.S.), you receive broadband Internet access. Currently, satellite broadband is slower in both the uplink and downlink, when compared to a DSL Internet service, for example.
Satellite Internet services are of two types. One-way service uses DVB-IP (Digital Video Broadcast- Internet Protocol), which is only for inbound connectivity. Hence, one way service is ideally suited for webpage viewing.
Two-way services provide complete broadband services to the users. Two-way service enables high-speed access for both download and upload. This platform is ideal for home, offices and small and medium enterprises. In this two-way satellite Internet connection, the upstream data is usually sent at a slower speed than the downstream data arrives. Thus, the connection is asymmetric. The upload speed will always be slower than the download speed. A dish antenna, measuring about one and half feet high by three feet wide by three feet deep, transmits and receives signals. Uplink speeds are variable and nominally 128 to 500 Kbps for a subscriber using a single or multiple computers. The downlink occurs at speeds ranging from about 700 Kbps to 2000 Kbps, depending on factors such as Internet traffic, the capacity of the server, the sizes of downloaded files and upon the plan provided by the service providers.
Satellite Internet systems are an excellent option for people in rural areas where Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) and cable modem connections are not available. Now, because of technical development it becomes a good option for urban subscriber also who needs high speed Internet. A satellite installation can be used even where the most basic utilities are lacking, if there is a generator or battery power supply that can produce enough electricity to run a desktop computer system. The two-way satellite Internet option offers an always-on connection that bypasses the dial-up process. In this respect, the satellite system resembles a cable modem Internet connection. But this asset can also be a liability, unless a firewall is used to protect the computer against hack attempts.
Enormous News 2010 Another great new product by Tim Godfrey and Steve Clayton called Niche Blueprint 2.0 Review is coming out to help all of us marketers who are doing or want to do ecommerce storefronts. Let me ask you will you be there for the release, I already have my sport inline and I recommend that you do as well. Happy New Year 2010 everyone!
The nature of the satellite internet connection is good for web browsing and for downloading of files. Because of long latency compared with purely land-based systems, interactive applications such as online gaming are not compatible with satellite networks. In a two-way geostationary-satellite Internet connection, a transaction requires two round trips between the earth’s surface and transponders orbiting 22,300 miles above the equator. This occurs in addition to land-based data transfer between the earthbound satellite system hub and the accessed Internet sites. The speed in such a connection is theoretically at least 0.48 second (the time it takes an electromagnetic signal to make two round trips at 186,000 miles per second to and from a geostationary satellite), and in practice is somewhat longer. Satellite systems are also prone to rain fade (degradation during heavy precipitation) and occasional brief periods of solar interference in mid-March and late September, when the sun lines up with the satellite for a few minutes each day. Rain fade and solar interference affect all satellite links from time to time, not just Internet systems.
So now there is an amazing internet service called broadband satellite Internet services for those who can’t get a cable to their home or office or for those who have no access to DSL. It provides a super-fast, independent 2-way duplex, always-on Internet connectivity that delivers flexible, IP-based services on a single platform.
All agencies with Satellite Internet services utilize the same technology, but have different pricing packages and customer service. But, if you talk about pricing packages, better internet services and customer services, the HughesNet® is one of the best among all.

M- COMMERCE AND ITS APPLICATIONS
Dr. (Mrs).R. RAJESWARI, Reader in Commerce,
Sri Sarada College for Women (Autonomous), Salem -16.
INTRODUCTION
”Mobile Commerce is any transaction, involving the transfer of ownership or rights to use goods and services, which is initiated and/or completed by using mobile access to computer-mediated networks with the help of an electronic device.”
DEFINITION
“Mobile Commerce is the use of information technologies and communication technologies for the purpose of mobile integration of different value chains an business processes, and for the purpose of management of business relationships.”
- Webagency, 2001
MOBILE DEVICES
M-commerce is not just about using mobile phones as end user devices. The following list gives an overview of different kinds of mobile devices.
- Mobile phone
- PDA (Personal Digital Assistant)
- Smart phone-the smart phone combines mobile phone and PDA technology into one device.
- Laptop
- Earpiece (as part of a personal area network)
M-COMMERCE VERSUS E-COMMERCE
In comparison to e-commerce, m-commerce offers both advantages and disadvantages. The following list summarises the advantages of m-commerce:
¨ Ubiquity: The use of wireless device enables the user to receive information and conduct transactions anywhere, at anytime.
¨ Accessibility: Mobile device enables the user to be contacted at virtually anytime and place. The user also has the choice to limit their accessibility to particular persons or times.
¨ Convenience: The portability of the wireless device and its functions from storing data to access to information or persons.
¨ Localization: The emergence of location-specific based applications will enable the user to receive relevant information on which to act.
¨ Instant Connectivity (2.5G): Instant connectivity or “always on” is becoming more prevalent will the emergence of 2.5 G networks, GPRS or EDGE. Users of 2.5 G services will benefit from easier and faster access to the Internet.
¨ Personalization: The combination of localization and personalization will create a new channel/business opportunity for reaching and attracting customers. Personalization will take the form of customized information, meeting the users’ preferences, followed by payment mechanisms that allow for personal information to be stored, eliminating the need to enter credit card information for each transaction.
¨ Time Sensitivity – Access to real-time information such as a stock quote that can be acted upon immediately or a sale at a local boutique.
¨ Security – depending on the specific end user device, the device offers a certain level of inherent security.
The following list summarises the disadvantages of m-commerce:
- Mobile devices offer limited capabilities (such as limited display). Between mobile devices these capabilities vary so much that end user services will need to be customized accordingly.
- The heterogeneity of devices, operating systems and network technologies is a challenge for a uniform end user platform. For this reason, standardization bodies consisting of telecommunication companies, device manufacturers and value added service providers integrate their work.
- Mobile devices are more prone to theft and destruction.
- The communication over the air interface between mobile device and network introduces additional security threats.
AREAS / USES OF M-COMMERCE
In the current commerce industry, mobile commerce or M-Commerce has been entered in finance, services, retails, tele-communication and information technology services. In these sectors, M-Commerce is not only being widely accepted but also it is being more used as a popular way of business/ commerce.
- Finance Sectors
- Telecommunication Sectors
- Service / Retail sectors
- Information Sector
M-COMMERCE APPLICATIONS
The general m-commerce applications are:
1. Mobile ticketing
Tickets can be sent to mobile phones using a variety of technologies. Users are then able to use their tickets immediately by presenting their phones at the venue.
Tickets can be booked and cancelled on the mobile with the help of simple application downloads or by accessing WAP portals of various Travel agents or direct service providers. Mobile ticketing for airports, ballparks, and train stations, for example, will not only streamline unexpected metropolitan traffic surges, but also help users remotely secure parking spots (even while in their vehicles) and greatly facilitate mass surveillance at transport hubs.
2. Mobile vouchers, coupons and loyalty cards
Mobile ticketing technology can also be used for the distribution of vouchers, coupons and loyalty cards. The voucher, coupon, or loyalty card is represented by a virtual token that is sent to the mobile phone. Presenting a mobile phone with one of these tokens at the point of sale allows the customer to receive the same benefits as another customer who has a loyalty card or other paper coupon/voucher. Mobile delivery enables:
- economy of scale
- quicker and easier delivery
- effective target marketing
- privacy-friendly data mining on consumer behaviour
- environment-friendly and resources-saving efficacy
3. Content purchase and delivery
Currently, mobile content purchase and delivery mainly consists of the sale of ring-tones, wallpapers, and games for mobile phones. The convergence of mobile phones, mp3 players and video players into a single device will result in an increase in the purchase and delivery of full-length music tracks and video. Download speeds, if increased to 4G levels, will make it possible to buy a movie on a mobile device in a couple of seconds, while on the go.
4. Location-based services
Unlike a home PC, the location of the mobile phone user is an important piece of information used during mobile commerce transactions. Knowing the location of the user allows for location based services such as:
- local maps
- local offers
- local weather
- people tracking and monitoring
5. Information services
A wide variety of information services can be delivered to mobile phone users in much the same way as it is delivered to PCs. These services include:
- news services
- stock data
- sports results
- financial records
- traffic data and information
Particularly, more customized traffic information, based on users’ travel patterns, will be multicast on a differentiated basis, instead of broadcasting the same news and data to all Users. This type of multicasting will be suited for more bandwidth-intensive mobile equipment.
6. Mobile Banking
Banks and other financial institutions are exploring the use of mobile commerce to allow their customers to not only access account information, but also make transactions, e.g. purchasing stocks, remitting money, via mobile phones and other mobile equipment. This service is often referred to as Mobile Banking or M-Banking. More negative issues like ID theft, phishing and pharming are lurking when it comes to mobile banking, particularly done on the mobile web. Net security technology free from redundancy and paradigm shifts away from mobile web-based banking will be an optimal solution to mobile banking in the near future.
7. Mobile brokerage
Stock market services offered via mobile devices have also become more popular and are known as Mobile Brokerage. They allow the subscriber to react to market developments in a timely fashion and irrespective of their physical location.
8. Auctions
Over the past three years Mobile reverse action solutions have grown in popularity. Unlike traditional auctions, the reverse auction (or low-bid auction) bills the consumer’s phone each time they place a bid. Many mobile PSMS commerce solutions rely on a one-time purchase or one-time subscription; however, reverse auctions are high return applications as they allow the consumer to transact over a long period of time.
9. Mobile purchase
Mobile purchase allows customers to shop online at any time in any location. Customers can browse and order products while using a cheap, secure payment method. Instead of using paper catalogues, retailers can send customers a list of products that the customer would be interested in, directly to their mobile device or consumers can visit a mobile version of a retailer’s ecommerce site. Additionally, retailers will also be able to track customers at all times and notify them of discounts at local stores that the customer would be interested in.
10. Mobile marketing and advertising
Mobile marketing is an emerging concept, but the speed with which it’s growing its roots is remarkable. Mobile marketing is highly responsive sort of marketing campaign, especially from brands’ experience point of view. And almost all brands are getting higher campaign response rates. Corporations are now using m-commerce to expand everything from services to marketing and advertisement. Although there are currently very few regulations on the use and abuses of mobile commerce, this will change in the next few years. With the increased use of m-commerce comes increased security. Cell phone companies are now spending more money to protect their customers and their information from online intrusions and hackers.
PAYMENT METHODS
The main payment methods used to enable mobile commerce are:
- premium-rate calling numbers,
- charging to the mobile telephone user’s bill or
- Deducting from their calling credit.
- Registration of a credit card that is linked to a Sim Card.
CATEGORISATION OF M-PAYMENT SYSTEMS
Most e-payment systems are not suitable for use in a mobile context that is, using a mobile device and communicating over a mobile telecommunication network. This is due to the special characteristics of mobile devices and mobile telecommunications. In the following, we categorise m-payment systems according to the whereabouts of the customer’s money:
- Software electronic coins – electronic money stored on the mobile in file format.
- Hardware electronic coins – electronic money stored on the mobile device on a smart card.
- Background account – electronic money stored in a remote account at a trusted third party.
Software Electronic Coins
In this case, monetary value is stored on the mobile device and the customer has full control of his/her money wherever he/she goes and whatever he/she does. An electronic coin is represented as a file containing, among other information, a value, a serial number, a validity period and the signature of the issuing bank. Since software electronic coins are easy to copy, the validity of an electronic coin depends on its uniqueness in terms of its serial number. The customer transfers electronic coins to the merchant, who forwards them to the issuing bank for the “double spending test.”
Hardware Electronic Coins
In this case, monetary value is stored on a secure hardware token, typically a smart card, in the mobile device. The presentation of electronic money is not important, as long as it is stored securely on the smart card. Electronic money could be represented as a simple numeric counter. In order to get to the money, the customer’s smart card and the merchant’s payment server authenticate each other and a secure channel is set up between them. Then, electronic money can be transferred from one to the other. This approach is quite attractive because smart cards provide an additional level of mobility. That means the payment smart card can also be used in POS transactions. E.g., Geldkarte, Mondex and Barclay card.
Background Account
Here, the money is stored remotely on an account at a trusted third party. Depending on the specific payment system, the account could be a credit card account, a bank account, or an account held at the network operator. For example, in some cases this data is sent in the clear (e.g. a credit card authorisation) not providing any security against eavesdropping and in some cases this information is encrypted and digitally signed, providing anonymity to the customer (e.g. SET – Secure Electronic Transactions).
KEY ISSUES OF M-COMMERCE
The success of M-Commerce depends on:
- Evolution: Technology and Business models are constantly evolving which will demand flexibility and patience on part of all players.
- Customer loyalty: Who will ‘own’ the customer? Partnerships among players from various industries will be necessary for most, if not all, m-commerce initiatives, and, in turn, will alter the nature of any one company to own their own customers.
- Cross-sector knowledge gulf, where the different parties will need to learn about the functions and limitations of the services provided by the other players, for example, operators will need to know about content and applications.
- Moving up the value chain: To respond to market opportunities some companies have develop subsidiaries in order to react more rapidly to market challenges. For example, Sonera has developed Sonera Zed, to provide portal and application management services such as location based mobile yellow pages as well Smart Trust, to develop secure solution for m-commerce transactions. And Citicorp has established e-Citi to develop a wireless access gateway strategy for financial service providers.
CONCLUSION
As m-commerce applications and wireless devices are evolving rapidly, one will take forward the other one towards empowering innovation, versatility and power in them. There are a number of business opportunities and grand challenges of bringing forth viable and robust wireless technologies ahead for fully realizing the enormous strength of m-commerce in this Internet era and thereby meeting both the basic requirements and advanced expectations of mobile users and providers.
There are news articles and pictures displaying people, who are ordering things over the Internet while waiting for a bus, downloading merchant coupons on their PDAs as they enter a store or bidding for the last table at a hot restaurant by digital phone in a spur-of-the-moment auction. Actually this process represents a tip of a very big iceberg. The advent of m-commerce, as widely referred to among the users, has far-reaching implications. But there are many limitations in the technologies that Once its relevant technologies get matured, widely available and competent, the host of portable devices will be ready to handle the bigger transactional activities not envisioned so far successfully apart from these minor activities. One of the main feature challenges will be to unify payment solutions, providing the highest possible level of security.

I have some applications that open into Internet Explorer when I want to download a new feature or something. How do I change this?
Unfortunately you can’t. Many programs, particularly programs made around 2001-2005 when Internet Explorer had over 90% market share, are hard coded to "open Internet Explorer" rather than the correct "open a web browser" (in which case it would open whatever browser you set as the default). Many older websites won’t even work in Firefox because they did all sorts of hacks to get IE to show it correctly, which means the more standards-compliant browsers will mess it up.

Internet is the new gold rush. Thousands of entrepreneurs giving up their full time employment to explore new opportunities that internet has to offer. One successful Internet home based business idea is to provide tools and support services for this new emerging industry.
What we’re suggesting is starting a business support service, one that helps these netpreneurs take their Internet home based business idea and see it to fruition. You might offer services that include dictation, transcription, desktop publishing, typing or word processing, writing, editing, proofreading, ghostwriting, designing spreadsheets, answering the phone, delivering or forwarding mail, packaging and shipping, database management, billing, accounts payable, bookkeeping, resume services, photocopying and faxing, notarizing, Web research, Web page design and oversight, planning events, training staff, and a myriad number of consulting services.
Secretarial services of decades past involved typing, answering the phone and taking dictation by shorthand. Today the services are far more complex. Business support services have become a top notch Internet home based business idea as the complexities and technology involved in serving these exponentially growing small businesses lead to fewer and fewer adequately trained full time employees. Small employers, especially home-based typically don’t need full time employees, nor do they want to involve themselves in the complexities of employment law and taxation regulations. Business support service is an excellent Internet home based business idea because it is much needed and in much demand by these start up business owners who are just learning their way around the proprietorship and Internet business worlds.
While typing and dictation are still important functions in the working world, other newer services have evolved as equally or probably more important services, and your idea to offer business support as an Internet home based venture should include desktop publishing, Web research and proficiency with spreadsheet software such as Excel. While you can specialize as part of your business support services the greater proficiency you have in the various office software products and equipment the better chance you have of landing new and repeat clients.
There are two important factors in getting your Internet home based business idea off the ground. The first is to prepare yourself by training in the equipment and applications you will offer. The second is to find your potential clients. Since your business idea is to support others who have their own Internet based home business idea your potential leads might be very easy to find. In fact, they may hang out at the same places you do the community college business start up classes, the local Small Business Development Center, the Chamber of Commerce get together and perhaps even Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE) seminars or meetings. There are many opportunities here to subtly let others know you are willing to support their new business ideas start up and kick off your own business as well.

That is the power of internet marketing
